Avengers: The fall of the true "Captain America"
I have been asked why does the death of the great Stan Lee bother me so bad? I have been in complete denial about his death. My heart hurts. Piece of my self has died and child hood. I grew up reading and watching his work. We all did, he became a part of us and our children. Through his characters he inspired us to me the best we could be. I would not be who I am today if it wasnt for his characters.
As a child my favorite TV show was X-men. Storm was my absolute favorite of them all. With her power to control weather. Her mother like nature to the other x-men. I looked up to her. My grandmother made me a storm costume for halloween. I was so excited and felt so powerful. I knew I wanted to be a superhero. I just lacked the power part.
So I became a nurse. My super power was my smarts and ability to care for people. As long as I had my trusty coffee I can take on anything. I could be some ones Storm or Rouge. I take care of people and save them. I might not have an awesome cape and lightening coming from my eyes. I am some ones superhero. I want inspire others to be a superhero in a way. You might not be a nurse but there are many ways in the world to be a super hero.
I picked being a nurse because I felt like they was the front line of caring for people. There are many ways to help others in your town. You could sit with the elderly. You could volunteer in all kinds of projects in the city that go to helping others. There is so much you can do. you just have to get out there and do it. Stan Lee made a rich selfish man in to the Iconic Iron man saving the world. Be some one Iron Man. Be someones Captain America. Get involved i the world around you. All together we could save humanity.
Stan Lee inspired a lot of people in the world. He help mold a whole generation to who they are. I only hope to inspire a quarter of the people he did. The world has lost a hero. The world has lost the "Captine America". Thank You Stan Lee. You will be missed by all but never forgoten. My little man has already fallen in love with your charters. so will many to come. Super heros all over the world. Because of you. Avengers assemble!
