Space for Adventure

One of my favorite things is to read. It relaxers me. My escape from the world that I live in. Go on adventures and never leave home. When I am stressed out I can pick up a book and dive in to the words. Fantasy or mystery, lately it has been inspirational books that I can grow from. Ether way I love it. I believe every true reader needs a space that they can cozy up to and read. There own personal reading nook. Mine just happens to be my side of the bed. Some day I hope I will have a window seat to cozy up to and read. There are some must haves for a reading nook.
Reading nooks must have good lighting. I know these sounds light a know brainier. Every lighting is different. Bright lights can be too much when trying to relax more like lamp light deem but enough to read with. Lighting is very important it can make or break a room. Lamps are handy to have to set the tone of the room. You can have all the lights on and bright room. Just lamps on be relaxing.
Finding space in a tight small area can be the challenge. We have a small house so space is important. You have to prioritize what is important to you. Reading and writing is important to me. As well as coking for my family. Kitchen and reading nook is my number 1 areas for me. I make sure to have. Daniel loves to relax and watch TV. So having a comfy spot to rest in the bed room is imprint. De cluttering is key in finding space. Get out the things you don't need or use. I used the 30 day Emily Ley Simplified challenge for this. It life changing no exaggeration here. Back to the point. Reading nook space needs. Having pillows that are comfortable and cute are important. You want to curl up with them when you see them. Comfort is key when reading. Sitting and relaxing is the point.
I have to have 2 other things when reading. Is my drink and blanket I love. I have little shelves by my bed that hold my books I am reading, journal for jotting down things, and drink. Easy to install floating corner shelves from Lowes. Which is like a candy store for us. Love Lowes. Any way they have them for about $11 I might paint them at some point. Choice of blanket is pure your preference. To stay warm and cozy.
I hop this helps giving you ideas for reading nook. These are purely based on my reading space. I also love sitting by my book shelves in my living rocking chair corner and read. Just what ever spot you love to sit and read can be made your space. Some ideas I gained from was "magnolia" magazine her fall issue had ideas for reading space I loved. Her style is more rustic chic. Which is my favorite style. Purely finding what your style is, where you want to dedicate a spot to for you and reading. Once you have that you can create a magical space to get away with. Go to amazing places to adventure in to. Happy reading.

I got this lamp made for Daniel for Christmas. My book shelf with trinkets to make my own.
