Space for wisdom

I have to say as a child if I could go back. I would not pray to be an adult successful career woman. I made it and did it. Not with out his guidance and strength. I would pray for wisdom. Not just any wisdom. Spiritual wisdom. Deep roots inside. So I can later plant beautiful fruit. I didn't know what a power it truly is. Who needs wisdom when I can be boss lady. Didn't know how much those correlate together.  Prov 3:13 "Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding"
Who knew how powerful and important those words are? Well the big guy upstairs did. Granted I feel that should have been like the first words. But instead Gen 1:1 in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" I guess he wanted us to make sure we knew who he was at first. Then the rest. He knows best.
Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. Which takes time and a lot of practice. The problem is we live in such a busy world and we think we have true knowledge in our finger tips. We forget to stop and ask him for true wisdom. We forget to strive for his wisdom and guidance. I know I am truly guilty of it. My hand first up in the air.
Now as I'm a mom, nurse who helps run an office, and an adult. I realize how important it truly is. How much I truly need to relay on him and his strength. To gain wisdom I must humble myself first. I must knock my boss pride down. Which believe me hurt. Hurt hard. Another blog for another time.
What I want make sure you take from this is. My friends don't relay on our own understanding, but be guided by the wisdom of God. That is a hard truth to swallow. Lots of practice and prayers. I still work on it every day. Create some space for wisdom. Let go of past7 grudges. Forgiveness is one of the hardest things to grasp but highly important. Forgiveness to release yourself from old scars. So he can fill them with wisdom. Namaste my friends.
